India look to the second and final T20I against Ireland without having any margin for error after a remarkable loss in the first. Apart from securing Ireland’s maiden T20I win over India, the loss put the visitors under pressure to beat India in the two-match series.

Now the contest has turned into a winner take all affair, captain Shreyas Iyer and team management will look at new setup that wasn’t able to work in Belfast. India were unable to get going and the bowlers failed to get the game under their control in the critical moments.

Iyer made it clear after the match that the team has no scope to have another bad game. Before the second game, it seemed that every player would have to prove his worth as a member of the XI as a result of his comments.

The most talked about news before the second T20I is whether teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi will get his maiden cap.

The 15-year-old is definitely one of the brightest young talents in the Indian cricket team in the last year. Had he been a part of the 11, he would be one of the youngest players to have represented India at the senior international level. His aggressive shot could also give India the early impetus which was missing in the first match.

However, there is some hope for middle order to get a second look.

Another underwhelming performance in Belfast could make India question their middle order balance as well. Washington Sundar didn’t come into the picture with either bat or ball, and the management might be tempted to bring a more dynamic all-rounder in.

In domestic and tournaments, Suryansh Shedge has demonstrated his ability to finish the game with medium pacer bowling. India would have more options in both departments if he could come in.

A Bowling Combination is being reviewed.

Other areas that may see a change in pace attack. The attack lacked the impact of Harshit Rana after he came back from injury, but the rest of the attack was not as effective.

Prasidh Krishna had a rough time of it, allowing runs to be scored but failing to make any progress. The team management, however, has the option to change and after delivering strong performances in domestic cricket, young fast bowler Prince Yadav may get an opportunity to make his international debut.

It is crucial for India to take immediate action.India must act now.

The second test in the series has special significance, not just to make things even. It provides India’s new leadership group a chance to take action after a lackluster first outing and prove that their first loss was simply a fluke.

Meanwhile, Ireland will come into the clash with a spring in their step, as they made history in the first game. The win would complete their maiden series win against India in T20Is as the match would be one of the biggest in Irish cricket history.
