Both of these players have suffered a loss by not playing Ranji Trophy matches. While Shreyas Iyer was in the B category last year, Ishan Kishan was placed in the C category. The BCCI has also stated that the Central contract will automatically include players who have played a minimum of 3 Test matches, 8 ODIs, or 10 T20I matches within a specified time period.

Dhruv Jurel and Sarfaraz Khan will automatically be included in Grade C if they play the next Test match against England. Similarly, Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan can also automatically join Grade C in the BCCI’s contract list after achieving the minimum qualification.Apart from this, the BCCI has made it mandatory for all the players involved in the central contract to play in domestic tournaments if they are fit and out of the Indian team.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s name is absent from the BCCI contract list for the second consecutive year. He was absent in 2022–2023 and absent again in 2023–2024. The supporters are also enraged by the fact that he is not a member of the squad. Rather than waiting to be called up to the Indian squad, Bhuvneshwar Kumar is now competing for Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy. unlike a lot of others who, after being rejected from every series, did not participate in any further tournaments. Bhuvneshwar Kumar just put up a magnificent display by capturing eight wickets in a ranji match against Bengal.
