Australia will kickstart their tour to Britain on September 4th with three T20 matches against Scotland at the outskirts of Edinburgh before moving onto England for three more T20 matches and five One Day Internationals (ODIs).

"Sean Abbott replaces Spencer Johnson due to injury ahead of England v. Australia cricket series."

Australian quick bowler Spencer Johnson will miss the Twenty20 series against England and Scotland later this month due to a shoulder injury, Cricket Australia announced Thursday. All-rounder Sean Abbott will serve as his replacement.

Johnson has taken part in five T20 internationals and one one-day international. During a match for The Oval Invincibles in The Hundred contest, left-armer Johnson experienced his injury.

CA released a statement saying Johnson returned home for further evaluation and rehabilitation before their busy season begins in November when they will take on Pakistan for both one-day international (ODI) as well as T20 matches, before facing India in a five-match test series.

Bott has represented Australia in 21 ODIs and fifteen T20Is over his career, scoring 1293 runs while taking 43 wickets across both formats.

Australia will kick-off their tour to Britain on September 4, playing three Twenty20 matches against Scotland at Edinburgh before traveling back to England for three more Twenty20 contests and five ODIs.

Mitchell Marsh will captain both white-ball teams while speed bowler Pat Cummins opts out to rest during this tour.
