Virat Kohli will return to Ranji Trophy for the first time since 2012 and will start training with the Delhi team from Tuesday. Kohli will play in Delhi’s last group match against Railways from January 30 to February 2. Delhi’s coach Sarandeep Singh gave this information.
Kohli could not play Delhi’s last match due to a neck problem. His return is taking place under the instructions of BCCI, in which emphasis has been laid on the players to play domestic cricket. The decision was taken after India’s 3-1 defeat against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
India’s first ODI match will be against England on 6 February in Nagpur. Before this the group matches of Ranji Trophy will end. Kohli is part of India’s squad for the three-match ODI series and the Champions Trophy 2025 starting on February 19.

For the fans, the news that the match between Delhi and Railways will not be broadcasted can be disappointing. Despite Kohli’s presence, there are no plans to show it live yet. The BCCI might take a decision at the last moment, but there is no information about it yet. A DDCA official said the broadcast plan has already been decided and it is difficult to change it.
