After India loses their big wickets early, Rishab Pant provided some stability with a brisk 42 off 31 balls by hitting six boundaries in his innings. However, India kept losing thier wickets after and players like Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube, and Hardik Pandya couldn’t capitalize on their starts, leaving India at 119 all out in 19 overs.
Pakistan Bowling Standout
Naseem Shah was the standout bowler for Pakistan as he claimed 3 wickets for just 21 runs in his 4 overs. Mohammad Amir also impressed with figures of 2 for 23, while Haris Rauf’s crucial wickets and Shaheen Afridi’s disciplined bowling helped restrict India to a manageable total.
Second Innings: Pakistan’s Chase
India put a total of 120 runs and chasing it Pakistan’s innings began cautiously. Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam anchored the innings well by not losing early wickets. Although they lose one wicket of Babar Azam in first powerplay.
Mohammad Rizwan kept the momentum and stood on the crease while other Pakistani wickets was falling. Fakhar Zaman provided a brief spark with a quick 13 off 8 balls but Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh’s timely breakthroughs put Pakistan in pressure. Thus Mohammad Rizwan also lose the wicket to Bumrah as the pressure was built on him. Imad Wasim’s 15 runs and Naseem Shah’s late cameo (10 off 4 balls) brought Pakistan close, but they ultimately fell short, finishing at 113/7 in their 20 overs.
India Bowling Highlights
Jasprit Bumrah was the hero with the ball, taking 3 wickets for just 14 runs, including the crucial Wickets of Rizwan and Babar. Hardik Pandya’s all-round performance (2 wickets for 24 runs) and Arshdeep Singh’s economical bowling (1 wicket for 31 runs) were instrumental in India’s tight defense of their total.
