On February 22, Team India was a huge disappointment during the T20 world cup Super 8 stage. Under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav, South Africa won by 76 runs against India. Nevertheless, among the setbacks, one of the biggest records became the principal point of discussion – most of sixes in T20 Internation games with India.

Miller Changes the Game

South Africa did not begin very well when it came to the batting. Three wickets were lost by them in the first four overs and India appeared to be in command. But in came David Miller and swept the tide altogether the opposite way.

Miller batted with a strong 63 runs out of 35 balls. He had a total of 7 fours and 3 sixes in his knock. Such innings not only served to make South Africa recover, but also provided a base to their great total.

Most 20Is versus India in T20Is.

In this inning, Miller scored a record mark. He has become the T20I player against India with the highest number of sixes.

Here is the updated list:

David Miller – 39 sixes

Glenn Maxwell – 38 sixes

Nicholas Pooran – 35 sixes

Dasun Shanaka – 30 sixes

Evin Lewis – 28 sixes

Miller passed Glenn Maxwell to become the leader. It is a great accomplishment to hit the most number of sixes against such a good team as India, particularly in the crucial matches.

One of the largest Indian Defeats.

South Africa registered 187 runs after Miller and Dewald Brevis established the much-needed collaboration. In response, India were sent packing at 111 runs. The loss of 76 runs was one of the largest defeats of India in the history of T20 world cup.

More Than Just a Record

Innings was not only quantitative by Miller. It demonstrated his capability of playing in high pressure games against tough competitors. His name has now been on the top of the list of the largest six-hitters in T20 cricket against India with this record.
