Scotland Squad T20 World Cup 2026 has officially been announced following a late invitation to the tournament of Scotland. The ICC admitted Scotland after Bangladesh withdrew and this provided the Scottish team with a rare chance to play on the international platform again.

The T20 world cup 2026 will start on the 7 th of February and Scotland will be in Group C in which they will play against strong teams like England, west indies, Nepal and Italy. Scotland have selected a settled and balanced squad, although this was late in the tournament.

The tournament has been given the veteran cricketer Richie Berrington as the captain. Berrington is a stable and experienced leader who has come to the side and will play a major role in guiding Scotland through a tough group.

Zainullah Ihsan is an Afghan batter aged 19 who is one of the most discussed in the Scotland Squad T20 World Cup 2026. Even though Ihsan is yet to play internationally, the team management feel that with his aggressive nature, he might provide a service in Indian and Sri Lankan pits.

Scotland alongside Berrington will use experienced players like George Munsey, Mark Watt, Safyaan Sharif and Michael Leask who have all served significant purposes on the past ICC events. The team also consists of youthful players and they will be keen to display themselves on the largest platform.

They will be underdogs in the tournament because there will be no pressure and they have everything to gain. Nevertheless, their fearless strategy and unity of the team may contribute to them being a dangerous opponent even to the most powerful.
