Pakistan to tour Dhaka for T20 series
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have changed their plans. Bangladesh was scheduled to tour Pakistan in May 2025 for three ODIs and the same number of T20 matches. Instead, they will play five T20 matches. After this, Pakistan will tour Dhaka to play three T20 matches on July 20, 22 and 24. This will happen just before Pakistan’s tour of West Indies. These additional games were not part of the original deal.
A BCB official said, “We have chosen T20 matches instead of ODIs in the Pakistan tour. We have to move towards the T20 World Cup and Asia Cup. Pakistan will tour Bangladesh for this T20 match when the team will be hosted in Dhaka.” These matches will prepare the teams.
Significance of Dhaka Hosting Pakistan
It is no small matter that Dhaka will host Pakistan for this T20 International trinity in July 2025. It gives both teams a chance to prepare for the Asia Cup in India in September 2025.
