India Make Two Debut Calls for Must-Win Ireland Clash, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Left Waiting Again

India have made two changes to their squad for the second T20I against Ireland in the series as they try to avoid losing the Turkey.India have two new names in their side for the second T20I against Ireland as they look to avoid a series defeat. Captain Shreyas Iyer took the toss in Belfast and opted to bowl first with a new-look side in the hope that they will climb out of the doldrums of the first game.

Whether Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, the teenage batting sensation, will be receiving his first cap in international cricket was the hottest topic prior to the match. But the 15-year-old starter was once again held back, putting his first start with the team on hold.

The 22-year-old Suryansh Shedge and Prince Yadav (23) have received their first India caps.

This was not an opportunity for Vaibhav, but one for two domestic players for the Indian team. Suryansh Shedge and Prince Yadav were included in the playing 11 and also got a place in the bowling side in the match, thus kicking off their international career.

Both have already been recognised for their sterling quality in domestic cricket and the IPL and India will now want them to make a quick impression in international cricket.

Indian team dismissed two players after a first loss. The Indian team has dropped two players after their first loss.

After the loss of the first T20I, the selectors and the team management opted to carry out alterations in both the squad and the batting order.

Washington Sundar and Prasidh Krishna were left on the bench without any impact in the first game. Sundar did not play a pivotal role on the scoring front or put in the yards with the ball and Prasidh could not managed the pace in his spell.

The changes indicate that India are looking for greater balance in the middle order and more control from their pace attack.

After delivering good home performances, Prince Yadav got rewarded.

Prince Yadav’s growth has been remarkable in the last year. The right-hander was in focus in IPL 2026 for his coolness and the way he bowled in pressure situations for Lucknow Super Giants.

He also found his form in the domestic T20 games, further solidifying his bid for India. India will hope he will bring in a bang for the buck as a bowler, especially in the death overs where they found trouble in the last encounter.

Shedge Adds All-Round Depth

Suryansh Shedge joins the XI with an attacking bat with medium pace bowling, providing India with another multi-dimensional player in the squad.

Shedge is known for his ability to accelerate the scoring in the final overs and has made some good domestic cricket performances. His dual skill of playing both with the ball and bat provides Shreyas Iyer with some playing flexibility in the match.
