Historic Moment as Father and Son Duo in Cricket Share the Crease in BPL

There are numerous emotions in the history of cricket, but recently a rather exclusive episode took place on the field when a Father and Son Duo in Cricket batted simultaneously in a professional T20 game. The history of Afghanistan legend Mohammad Nabi and his son Hasan Eisakhil sharing the crease in the Bangladesh premier league was an immediate catchy moment that attracted the attention of the world in its entirety.

This historical scene was played at the BPL game between Noakhali Express and Dhaka Capitals on January 11. Although there was nothing unusual about brothers batting together, this was the first occasion in the highest professional level of the game that we saw the father and son duo in the batting field.

Hasan Eisakhil took the first strike on behalf of Noakhali Express and was utterly in control. He sewed a solid 101-run first partnership with Soumya Sarkar as his team got momentum in the earliest stage. When three wickets fell, the spectators were provided with an emotional scene when Mohammad Nabi came out to bat with his son at the crease.

The older Afghan all-rounder was seen to be emotional, and Hasan was still hitting with confidence. The father-son pair in cricket contributed 53 vital runs in the fourth wicket that made the difference in the victory of their team.

The performance of Hasan Eisakhil was outstanding even in spite of the historic event. He made 92 runs out of 60 balls, which comprised of seven fours and five sixes. His first partnership of 101 runs with Noakhali Express became the highest partnership in the history of the same, a record which was previously held, but in this case, it involved Noakhali Express itself, but not his father.

There was another record of the young opener when he rewrote the team records by striking five sixes in an innings, a record previously held by several players such as Mohammad Nabi. Hasan had 58 runs in terms of boundary scoring, easily surpassing the previous father record.

This game will not only be remembered by the figures, but by providing one of the most emotional and uncommon scenes in the game, a literal father and son combination in the cricket world, with both sharing the responsibility and pressure and even pride, on the same field.
