Bangladesh Announce Squad for ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially announced their 15-member squad for the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025. The team will be captained by Nigar Sultana Jothi and Nahida Akhtar will be the vice-captain. The tournament will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka from 30 September to 2 November.

The selectors have made some notable changes by including three new faces, Rubia Haider Zheliq, Nishita Akhtar Nishi and Sumaya Akhtar. These players have been included in the main World Cup squad for the first time.

Tournament details

The ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 will be contested in India from September 30 to November 2, featuring the top eight nations. Bangladesh finds itself in Group B alongside Pakistan, England, New Zealand, South Africa, and Australia.

20 October: Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh – Navi Mumbai
