Asia Cup 2025 brings prime‑time cricket to Dubai and Abu Dhabi with high‑voltage India–Pakistan matches, rare double‑headers, and a grand finale on September 29.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi will host the matches from September 9 to 28. The matches will start at 6 PM local time, which is 7:30 PM for Indian viewers – the perfect time for a cup of tea and prime-time cricket.
And here’s a rare twist—September 15 will see two games almost stepping on each other’s toes. First up, UAE take on Oman in the afternoon. There will hardly be time to catch a breath before Sri Lanka take on Hong Kong in the evening. Is there any overlap? You don’t see them often in major tournaments.
For India, the big dates are September 10 against UAE, September 14—the mega clash with Pakistan—and September 19 against Oman. If the story stays as per the expectations of the fans, then India and Pakistan will clash again in Super 4 on 21 September. That means twice a week. We will get to see some explosive matches.
ACC president Mohsin Naqvi couldn’t hide his excitement. “Looking forward to packed stadiums and some truly breathtaking encounters,” he said. And honestly, with eight nations—India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, the UAE, Oman, and Hong Kong—all chasing glory in the T20 format, it’s hard to argue.
There’s still one little mystery, though—who’s going to handle the TV production? Star Sports did it earlier, but now Sony Sports has the rights for the next eight years. It remains to be seen whether they take over the production as well.
The final is set for September 29 in Dubai. And if history’s any guide, the roar of that crowd will carry far beyond the stadium walls. September can’t come soon enough.
